EGG PRODUCTION PROTECTION

Egg production in breeders and commercial layers can be adversely affected by a variety of factors, both infectious and non infectious. Respiratory viruses like Newcastle Disease, Infectious Bronchitis (standard and variant), Avian rhinotracheitis and laryngotracheitis can affect the reproductive tissues directly or reduce feed intake, resulting in decreased egg production.

Adenovirus infection (EDS 76) and avian encephalomyelitis have proven to cause substantial decreases in egg production. Marek’s disease virus causes mortality and egg losses as well.

Merial’s range of egg protection vaccines provides protection to enhance prevention of losses in egg production.
