J-VAC®
Killed E.coli

Infection by Escherichia coli (E. coli) is characterized by inflammation of the mammary gland in dairy cows, and typically occurs at calving time and during early lactation. The progression to mastitis leads to significant local and systemic clinical symptoms. When high producing cows are affected, the impact on milk output of a dairy operation can be significant. In severe cases, coliform mastitis can result in death – or ruin a quarter, forcing an early culling decision.

J-VAC provides proven protection against E. coli mastitis and the effects of endotoxemia due to E. coli and Salmonella typhimurium. J-VAC also offers outstanding flexibility. It can be administered to heifers, dry cows, and dairy cows at any stage of lactation, providing you with the option of vaccinating your whole herd all at once, or a few cows at time. And because J-VAC has 0 days withholding, you can use it on lactating cows with no risk of milk contamination.

Talk to your veterinarian about how milk safe J-VAC can work for you to reduce or help prevent economic losses associated with E. coli mastitis.
